I am a Professional Sailor & have been in the game for over 20 years. A graduate of the RNZYS Youth Training Programme, I left my home country of New Zealand in 2008, 'cutting my teeth' on the World Match Racing Circuit and being crowned 2009 World Match Racing Champion as part of our own FedEx Black Match Racing Team.
I raced in the 2011-2012 Volvo Ocean Race as part of Team Sanya, where I was awarded the Hans Horrevoets 'under 30 Volvo Ocean Race Rookie of the Race award', while in the 2014-2015 edition I was a Trimmer/Helm aboard Team Alvimedica.

Grand Prix Race teams I have been part of over the years include Mini Maxi 72's (Vesper, Shockwave, Proteus, Sorcha, Caol Ila), TP52's (Gladiator, Vesper, Beau Geste, Tala, Summer Storm) and the PAC52 (Invisible Hand), while trimming for China Team and Red Bull Racing in the AC 45 World series, then continuing on to the Mod 70's Phaedo, Beau Gets and Snow Flake has been my multihull apprenticeship.
I have raced in most of the iconic classic offshores around the world, including overall wins in the Fastnet, Middle Sea, RORC 600, Newport Bermuda & Hong Kong to Vietnam Races. Current Offshore Sailing Records include the Round Isle of Wight & the Transpacific Records (aboard the Mod 70 Phaedo).

2020 (a year to remember for various reasons) saw me competing more locally in the UK, taking out the overall Fast 40 Championship on Tokoloshe 2 as a Strategist/Crew Boss as well as the J70 UK National Title and J70 Southern Champs as a trimmer.

2022/2021 Saw me running the highly successful Sunrise JPK1180 Program (2021 Fastnet winners and runners up in the Middle Sea Race) as well as the Cape 31 KataBatic. I also sailed on the Maxi World Champion 72 Vesper as well as the ORC World Champion 52 Beau Geste.

I manage the exciting Cape 31 Class which has seen over 80 boats sold Worldwide.
